That Damn House

Quick off the block as always, I spotted this in the 2005 Labour Manifesto (P110):
"We will legislate to place reasonable limits on the time bills spend in the second chamber – no longer than 60 sitting days for most bills."
Is it fair to say I'm not the only one reading this as "we will ensure the House of Lords won't interfere in whatever the hell we want to do"?

I think it would be fair to say that Gavin. However, my MP has already denied that that is what the manifesto meant. I wait and see what it ends up meaning.
